“Bridging Classroom Learning with Courtroom Experience”

The Moot Court Committee at Bharath Institute of Law is the hub of advocacy training for our students. Mooting bridges classroom learning with courtroom experience, giving students the opportunity to practice legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy in a simulated court environment.

Objectives
  • Sharpen students’ legal research, drafting & argumentation skills
  • Build confidence, teamwork, and analytical thinking
  • Provide exposure to real legal issues & jurisprudence
  • Prepare students for state, national & international moot competitions
  • Promote a culture of discipline, professionalism & legal excellence
Functions and Activities
  • Organizing Intra-college Moot Competitions
  • Conducting training sessions & workshops on mooting skills
  • Guiding & mentoring teams for external moot competitions
  • Hosting expert talks with judges, lawyers & academicians
  • Maintaining an active Moot Court Association for student engagement

Students’ Involvement

The Moot Court Association ensures active participation of students across departments. Members are selected based on merit, performance, and passion for mooting. The association forms the backbone of the committee, assisting in event planning, research, and execution.
