Your Admission Pathway to Join BIL


Submission of Application
  • Fill out the online application form available on the Bharath Institute of Law website.
  • Attach the necessary documents, including academic certificates and ID proof.
Interview

Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at the campus.

Notification of Acceptance

Selected candidates will be notified and invited to proceed with the next steps to finalize their admission. This includes submitting the admission fee, completing the document verification process, and receiving the official confirmation letter to secure your place at Bharath Institute of Law.

Documents Required for the Admission


  • Recent passport-sized photographs
  • Academic certificates (10th, 12th, Graduation, Post-Graduation, as applicable)
  • Valid ID proof (Aadhar, Passport, etc.)
  • Community certificate (for reserved categories)
  • Migration and transfer certificates
  • Research proposal (for Ph.D. candidates)

Financial Assistance for Female Students


Bharath Institute of Law proudly supports its female students in benefiting from the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme, (Pudhumai Penn Scheme) an initiative by the Tamil Nadu Government.

This scheme provides ₹1000 per month directly into the bank accounts of eligible students, ensuring financial support throughout their education journey.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Girls who studied from Classes 6th to 12th in Government schools in Tamil Nadu can apply for this scheme.
  • Any number of girls from the same family can receive the assistance if they are pursuing higher education.
  • The education must be at recognized institutions, colleges, or universities.

Financial Assistance For Male Students


Bharath Institute of Law proudly supports its male students in availing the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme, an initiative by the Tamil Nadu Government to promote higher education among boys. This scheme provides ₹1,000 per month directly into the bank accounts of eligible students, ensuring consistent financial support for their educational pursuits. Similar to the Pudhumai Penn Scheme, boys can avail themselves of the benefits under this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria:

As per Bar Council of India’s Rules of Legal Education 2008 the eligible Criteria for the courses offered prescribed below.

5 Years Integrated Degree Program
Applicant must have successfully completed the Higher Secondary Education (‘+2’) or equivalent from:
  • A recognized Education Board (Central or State),
  • A recognized university in India or abroad, or
  • Any equivalent qualification/certificate recognized by a competent authority
Acceptable equivalent qualifications include:
  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC),
  • CBSE / ISC qualifications
  • 11+1 system (as in some international schools),
  • ‘A’ Level (Senior School Leaving Certificate),
  • 3-Year Diploma or 3-Year Polytechnic course (completed from a recognized educational institution).
Eligible Minimum Marks

The Minimum Marks to get eligible is 45% in Higher Secondary Education for all students (40% for SC/ST students)

Not eligible:

Candidates who obtained qualifications solely through open universities, distance learning, or correspondence education without formal school education.

3 Years Law Degree Program
The applicant must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from:
  • A recognized Indian University,
  • An institution deemed to be a university, or
  • A foreign university declared as equivalent to an Indian degree by a competent authority
The degree must be awarded by an institution recognized by competent regulatory bodies
Eligible Minimum Marks

The Minimum Marks to get eligible is 45% in Bachelor Degree for all students (40% for SC/ST students)
