The Exam Cell of Bharath Institute of Law functions as the central body to ensure smooth, transparent, and efficient conduct of all academic examinations. It acts as a liaison between the college administration, faculty, and students in all matters related to examinations. The committee is committed to upholding fairness, confidentiality, and timely execution of examination-related tasks.

- To ensure timely delivery of hall tickets, seating arrangements, mark sheets, and results.

- To maintain continuous communication between faculty, administration, and students for smooth conduct of all assessments.
Objectives
- To plan and conduct all internal assessments and end-semester examinations in a systematic and transparent manner.
- To ensure timely preparation and distribution of examination schedules, hall tickets, and mark sheets.
- To maintain the integrity and confidentiality of question papers and answer scripts.
- To address and resolve examination-related grievances of students and faculty.
- To provide an efficient support system for allocation of halls, faculty invigilation duties, and examination materials.
- To ensure compliance with the rules and regulations of the University and higher education authorities.
Functions
- Ensures adherence to BIHER Examination’s policies and guidelines in all examination-related activities.
- Organizes and coordinates submission of question papers for mid examinations within the stipulated time schedule.
- Manages conduct of internal and external examinations, ensuring all required materials are in the examination branch, room-wise allocation is complete, and arrangements for candidates with special needs are in place.
- Organizes and provides safe custody of examination stationery and materials, including question papers, in accordance with regulations.
- Arranges examination rooms/halls as per regulations, ensuring proper seating arrangements in accordance with norms.
- Coordinates distribution of hall tickets through the department’s Office Assistant and Class Adviser.
- Ensures distribution of all examination answer books to invigilators before examinations and collects/verifies them immediately after completion.
- Ensures timely distribution of question papers to all examination halls.
- Briefs invigilators on examination regulations and prepares appropriate written guidelines for invigilators, staff, and students.
- Assists in the preparation of the invigilation schedule, arranges additional invigilators in exigencies, and provides briefing/training as per procedures.
- Remains present and available in the college on result notification days and oversees distribution of results to students.
- Produces analysis of examination results promptly after publication.
- Provides statistics on examination entries and results to HOD/Dean-Academics and senior management.
- Prepares examination schedules and timetables, distributes them to faculty and students through the HOD, and resolves schedule conflicts.
- Provides information on substitute courses (if any) for readmitted students who were detained earlier.
- Coordinates with students and class advisers to ensure timely submission of examination application forms and fees for regular semester examinations.
- Acts as a resource person and liaison between faculty, students, and the Examination Branch; resolves problems and suggests improvements.
- Authorizes allocation of rooms for examination purposes and ensures arrangements for students with special needs.
- Uses personal computer, photocopier, fax machine, and other office equipment for examination-related tasks.
Composition of the Examination Cell Committee
The Exam Cell comprises dedicated faculty members entrusted with planning, coordinating, and executing all examination-related activities of the institution.
