Anti Ragging Committee

Bharath Institute of Law maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging in all its forms. The Anti-Ragging Committee is constituted in accordance with the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, and the directives of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. The committee is dedicated to ensuring a safe, secure, and inclusive academic environment for all students.
Objectives
- To prevent any form of ragging on campus and in associated facilities such as hostels, classrooms, and transportation
- To spread awareness about the harmful consequences of ragging and the legal implications
- To maintain constant vigilance through monitoring and interaction with students
- To take prompt action upon receiving any complaint related to ragging
- To ensure strict implementation of anti-ragging policies laid down by the UGC and the institution
What Constitute Ragging?
Ragging includes, but is not limited to:
- Verbal or physical abuse
- Teasing, bullying, or harassment of juniors by seniors
- Forceful activities meant to cause embarrassment or discomfort
- Any act that affects the dignity of a student
As per the UGC regulations, Ragging is a Criminal Offense and is Punishable under Law.
Composition of The Anti-Ragging Committee
The Anti-Ragging Committee at Bharath Institute of Law comprises senior faculty members responsible for prevention, supervision, and redressal of ragging incidents.

Reporting Ragging
Students can report incidents of ragging to any member of the Anti-Ragging Committee or via the official email. Immediate and confidential action will be taken.
