The Library Committee at our college is committed to fostering a culture of reading, research, and information literacy among students and faculty. The committee ensures the smooth functioning of library services, facilitates access to resources, and promotes effective utilization of library facilities to support academic excellence.

Objectives:
  • To ensure the availability and accessibility of quality academic resources for students and faculty.
  • To promote reading habits, research culture, and information literacy.
  • To organize library-oriented programs, workshops, and awareness sessions.
  • To oversee the maintenance and proper utilization of library resources and infrastructure.
  • To support faculty and students in academic and research activities through resource provision.
Functions
  • Managing the acquisition, cataloging, and maintenance of books, journals, and digital resources.
  • Monitoring library usage and maintaining records of book loans, returns, and member activities.
  • Organizing library orientation programs for new students and faculty.
  • Facilitating access to online databases, e-books, and research tools.
  • Advising on procurement of new books and resources as per academic requirements.
  • Coordinating with departments to identify resource needs for teaching, learning, and research.
  • Encouraging students and faculty to participate in library events and reading programs.
