Bharath Institute of Law organized its Induction Program on 29 August 2025 to welcome the first-year students of I LL.B (Hons.), I B.A. LL.B (Hons.), and I B.B.A. LL.B (Hons.) for the academic year 2025–2026. The event brought together students, parents, faculty, and the Institute’s leadership to mark the beginning of an exciting academic journey.
The program was graced by Hon’ble Justice A.A. Nakeeran (Retd.), High Court of Madras, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) K. Murugadoss, Dean, Bharath Institute of Law. The day began with a Guard of Honour by the NCC and the ceremonial lighting of the Kuthu Vilakku, followed by the Dean’s welcome address. Justice Nakeeran’s keynote speech inspired students to embrace the nobility of the legal profession, think critically, and contribute meaningfully to democracy, while also reflecting on the growing role of technology in law.
Faculty members, including Asst. Prof. Naveen, Mr. Sivakumar, Prof. Suguna, and Prof. Dr. Rajalakshmi, guided students on academic expectations, campus life, and the importance of values alongside knowledge. Final-year students Ms. Renisha and Mr. Murusolli shared heartfelt experiences of how BIL enriched them with values, exposure, and opportunities, motivating the new batch to make the most of every resource.
Students and parents later visited the Student’s Corner, featuring the “Wall of Memories” and welcome notes from seniors and faculty. The day concluded with an Open House session led by Course Coordinators Asst. Prof. Dr. Meenakshi, Asst. Prof. Balaji, and Asst. Prof. Radha Devi, followed by a community lunch.
The Induction Program successfully set the tone for the academic year, reaffirming the Institute’s commitment to nurturing not only competent legal professionals but also responsible individuals ready to make a difference in society.
