On April 11th, 2025, the Bharath Institute of Law solemnly celebrated Ambedkar Day to honor the birth anniversary and enduring legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and a towering symbol of social justice.
The event was conducted under the esteemed leadership of Dr. K. Murugadoss, Dean of the Bharath Institute of Law. The celebration was meticulously organized by Assistant Professors Mrs. Blessy and Ms. Kokila, whose efforts brought together students, faculty, and staff in a meaningful tribute.
The event commenced with a floral tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, followed by a series of speeches delivered by enthusiastic students. They spoke passionately about Ambedkar’s contributions to constitutional law, his fight against social discrimination, and his vision for an egalitarian India.
In his keynote address, Dr. K. Murugadoss emphasized that "Dr. Ambedkar was not just the father of the Constitution, but the voice of the voiceless. His ideas remain more relevant than ever in today’s pursuit of equity, dignity, and justice for all." He urged students to imbibe Ambedkar’s spirit of inquiry, critical thinking, and commitment to social reform in their legal education and future practice.
The celebration concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the values of justice, liberty, and equality that Dr. Ambedkar stood for, reaffirming the institution’s dedication to fostering responsible and socially conscious legal professionals.
