Bharath Institute of Law (BIHER) 3rd year students visited the Legislative Assembly on March 18, 2025. The visit was part of an educational tour aimed at providing students with firsthand exposure to legislative processes, governance, and policymaking.
The tour was organized under the guidance of the faculty members to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world legal practices. During their visit, the students had the opportunity to witness live assembly proceedings, observe discussions on key legislative matters, and understand the intricate process of lawmaking.
The students were given a detailed briefing on the structure and functioning of the Legislative Assembly, including insights into parliamentary debates, the passage of bills, and the role of elected representatives in governance. They also interacted with senior legislators, legal experts, and assembly officials who shared valuable insights about the legislative system and its impact on society.
Faculty members accompanying the students emphasized the importance of such visits in shaping the legal acumen of aspiring law professionals. "This visit has provided our students with a practical understanding of how laws are framed, debated, and implemented. It is an invaluable experience that complements their academic studies," said one of the faculty coordinators.
Expressing their excitement, the students described the visit as an eye-opening experience that deepened their understanding of constitutional law and governance. "Being able to witness real-time discussions and decision-making processes was truly inspiring. It has given us a new perspective on the role of the legal system in shaping society," said one of the students.
The educational tour aligns with BIHER’s commitment to providing a comprehensive legal education by incorporating real-world exposure and interactive learning experiences. The institute continues to encourage such initiatives to prepare students for future challenges in the legal and legislative fields.
